New beekeeper here.  Got 5 empty hives given to me and have ordered 2 packages of Russian bees for this cold climate.  Hope they come with their own supply of Cossack hats.....

Hey Mollinator! I'm a fellow yooper too. I just got two hives started in Ishpeming. (Italian & MN Hygienic). Good luck with the beekeeping.
