Title: YELLOW SNOW AND BUSY BEES
Post by: garys520 on February 07, 2011, 01:57:32 PM
Here in Connecticut the girls finally got a chance to fly on Sunday.  The temp got all the way up to 45 degrees.  It's been 35 days since they last left the hive, well I was glad to see the snow turn yellow by the end of the day.  The undertaker bees were very busy catching up with the backlog.  All 7 hives still looking pretty strong enjoying the fondant I added last month.  I can't image some of the colonies going longer than a month without the girls getting out, but they must.  I was wondering how long the girls can last without getting out.

Watch out where those honeybees go, and don't you eat that yellow snow.
(with apologies to Frank Zappa)
