Title: My russian ladies

I have two Russian hives from Kelly bees, installed in 2010. They have been out for short flights but today was the first day above 50 degrees so I got into each hive. They look great, They went into winter with two brood hives and one full super. And the super on each hive is still full.
The cluster has moved up into the top brood hive, so I will be switching the brood hives from top to bottom later on this spring.
Very impressed with my russian girls

I've had Russians for about 6 years now, I currently have 4 hives.  I'd have more but I keep giving nucs to 2 of my brothers.
I like the bee, find it much better suited to the climate in my area than Italians.
