Ok, so i installed some queens 24hrs ago - there's not much of a flow on at the moment - a local beekeeper suggested i coat the top bars of the frames with a generous amount of sugar syrup. I didn't do that when i installed the cages instead i sprayed a light coating of 50/50 syrup over the bars. Is there anyway i could coat the top bars with syrup without disrupting the release of the queen? I know that if you open the hive up you can potentially cause the new queen to be killed... I still have 10 queens to install - when i install these i will generously coat the top bars with syrup or even pour syrup over a frame of empty comb
