I buy my honey from a local beekeeper. Is there
any way that I can tell if it is pure honey. For
example, is the honey pasteurized or is there any
thing added to the honey.
Thank You
If he is local, I would ask him.

Does he advertise as raw honey?
Raw honey is honey as it exists in the beehive or as obtained by extraction, settling or straining, without adding heat (although some honey that has been "minimally processed" is often labeled as raw honey) for those who do not know.
Anything added and it could not be sold as honey. Standards for that are strict.
Only way to be sure is to run an expensive lab test. It will show if any thing was added, or if it was heated. 2nd best way to tell is looking the producer in the eye + trust.
