Seven pounds...holy crap! Do you live near a nuclear reactor?
Nice catch, that's a biggun.

I put them on a scale, I was shocked
id give them the equivelant of two deeps which would be 4 mediums with that many bees they need the space and ventilation nice catch i hope i get a swarm that size one day :) Chris
NICE Catch
were they on a limb,in a full Wheelbarrow,or Hand truck :-D
In another thread I asked how much a good hive of bees weigh
I now no they can weigh more than 7lb.s :-D

they were in a bush
I would put them in 2 eight frame mediums.

OH Gosh and I am bragging about the swarm that came to me. This is way cooler!!
they absconded on me :? had to catch them back. put them in new hive in same spot they settled in. they seemed much calmer this time. they drank almost a quart of 1:1 syrup before leaving :?
maybe my hugest full swing late spring hives go seven pounds - wow - I'm betting on lots of honey from yours this year.
edit: I just noticed your posting date - is this a leg pulling?
