Title: Bee tree
Post by: gardeningfireman on April 08, 2011, 11:03:23 AM
Got a call the other day from a guy about 5 minutes away, with a bee colony in a large tree. Says they have been there for about 10 years and throw off one or two swarms every year. Doesn't want them removed, but offered me the swarms. How close, or far away from the tree should I put the swarm traps? And how many should I put up?
Thanks!

10 foot high and 100 yards away, or just where ever you can put them.  About anywhere will work off the ground.
