I don't like removing bees from a ceiling but this was our best option. We got a nice bit of bees and a great queen. Hope you enjoy the video!

OH God, when Schawee grabbed the umbrella from you I was yelling at him not to break it. That was a very funny video you made there JP. Tell me honestly JP, is the umbrella still in perfect condition?? Is it sticky from honey??
So does the homeowner now call a contractor to fix the ceiling?? You said that home is attracting beehives all the time, so they probably have to bee proof that home right JP, with that stuff you told me about

Annette, the red parasol is still in pretty good shape!
Last year Schawee and I caulked and sealed the entire right side of the house but where this hive was located holes are too numerous for me to consider bee proofing. I'd rather she call in a contractor for the repairs/bee proofing.

:? JP, I learn from every one of your videos. This time, I have a new question since I have request for a ceiling job between two bedrooms -- like yours, they have to line up to get into a tiny entrance under a deck outside. They have been there for 2 years. (We may need an umbrella inside.)
You have all the blinds closed and it looked like you were using a strap-on headlamp to look up into the joists. Does that keep them calmer and more likely to not 'buzz' around the bedroom?

Mike, when they get inside, they will go for light sources, such as lights or windows. If you can open a window that is best. The head lamp I was using was on red light mode. Red lights don't attract them nearly as much as other light spectrums.

Thanks, JP! I thought I knew why you were on red mode. My LED 'lamp strap' just moved from my surf-fishing kit to my "cutout kit." :)
