Title: cut out dieing
Post by: NCA on April 20, 2011, 03:11:48 AM
I have two cut out hives in nuc boxes that are growing new queens. Both have about 5 or 6 queen cells in them but not much brood left and only a few frames of bees on uncapped comb so I'm thinking all the brood has emerged already. There were 4 frames of capped and uncapped brood in both boxes to begin with. I don't have any comb with brood that i can put in there to supplement there population with so my question is do you think they will be able to survive a few more weeks until the queens emerge and start to lay and the first batch of bees emerge or are they done for if they don't get a population boost from another hive soon.
