What is recommended for a ventilated jacket; Golden Bee or Ultra Breeze?

You won't go wrong with either.

I have the Ultra Breeze jacket.  I think both are about the same.  You can't go wrong with either one of them.

I don't know anything about the Golden Bee, but the Ultrabreeze is great.  I couldn't work on a summer afternoon without one.

Can't speak to the Ultra Breeze but I have a Golden Bee and love it.  I will never go back to a regular jacket

If you are just getting started in beekeeping, you will find that most of the time, they really don't want to sting you anyway.  You won't get stung through the suit, at least I never have.  They get a little feisty during a cutout once in a while.  I got stung through the mesh on my hood when it slid back against my nose, and I've got stung through the vents in my gloves.  When I'm working my bees, they are never trying to sting me, just cut outs.

I only have one bee jacket, but I think being hot is just part of the program.

it was really nice to feel the breeze blow through it.  if i had his kind of heat, i'd buy it in a second.

I've never been able to justify the expense of a beesuit or even a bee jacket.  Back when I first started beekeeping I used a homemade veil of doorscreen and muslin.  Made me look like something out of Lost In Space.
Today I use those military surplus "Boony" misquito nets that you can often pick up at dollar stores or Sportsman's Guide at 2 for $10.00.  Small, fits in any pocket, easy to use, and durable as long has you don't set your smoker on it or visa versa.
I wear a natural colored long sleeve shirt but flannel and wool may cause the bees to get their feet caught in the weave which can add to the stings recieved department.

To me bee attire is over rated and too expensive.  As long as I have a veil that's small enough to fit my head (6 7/8), a pair of long legged pants, a long sleeve shirt, a hive tool, and a good smoker, I'm ready for any hive, any time.
