This was our first swarm for the year. My wife and son had the day off and got this one on their own.
Nice size swarm and this is early for us in this part of Ohio. We finally had a day without rain!
They were very low in an apple tree, she shook them into a medium hive body and the rest marched in.

Very nice!
It appears to be a large swarm, but the tree size maybe throwing me off.
We need some better swarm weather down South!!!

Nice swarm for sure!!
Nice swarm
Very nice! Where in Ohio are you? I am in northern Summit county, and the weather has been absolutely terrible. I don't expect the swarms to start for a while yet.
We are in Columbiana County. South of Youngstown.
This is an early swarm, last year the first swarm was not until May 9th. The weather has been horrible here as well.
We did a cut out a couple of weeks ago and they were very busy in spite of the bad weather. Good amount of drones already. Not sure what to think yet, whether it will be an early swarm season or what.
Good luck and I hope you get a ton of swarm calls!
Joe
That is a nice swarm. But I wonder how do you shake the tree when it's anchored from all directions. :-D
Nice one!
Scott
Looks great.
