Title: Pop up removal
Post by: hardwood on May 15, 2011, 12:20:49 AM
Well, we finally got around to removing the bees from the pop up camper we hauled to the rehab yard last year. It was a fun date for both of us! Somehow we missed the queen when we were transferring the brood (oops) but it all worked in the end.

Couple of things.

First, at 6:11, Peggy, "Owe, #$@K!"  :lau:

Red is the color, its got to be red!  :-D

I'm hoping you added at least a medium after you shook them all, seemed like wayyyy too many bees for just one deep.

Great point to mention about having enough bees to cover the brood, was just telling Emil that two days ago on the one we just did.

Can you imagine the potential robbing frenzy we may have had at Bud3s with all that dripping honey?

Lastly, great job & team work!

How is the frame and axle?  Gut it and make a good trailer.

Trailers I have....too many if anything. Space in the back yard...not so much.

Very cool, glad to see I'm not the only one guilty of dropping comb when stung.

LOL,Same here. With enough stings I've not only dropped the comb, but also performed a few impromptu River Dance steps as well.  :yippiechick:

I dropped a shallow super full of honey Saturday putting it into the freezer, without getting stung, then had words.

OH Scott and Peggy, that was fun to watch. Very messy. I guess you just left the remaining honey that was dripping for the bees to rob out??

I enjoyed the little umbrella's as well, although in that heat, don't think they would do any good to help you.

You are a great team together. Peggy you seem like a very peaceful person and a good compliment to Scott's macho manliness.

Thanks for sharing
Annette
