Title: Hello from Indiana
Post by: Hubris Bee Boy on May 19, 2011, 11:41:48 PM
I started beekeeping last year and have been hooked.  Worried that it might take over my day job.  Not so bad I suppose.  Planning on going to the HAS conference in Vincennes.  Looking forward to learning more on this forum.

Hello and Welcome!

Where in Southern Indiana are you? Have you found a local bee club? Clubs are great places to find mentors and get connected with nearby beekeepers.

I'm looking forward to HAS too. The Indiana State Beekeepers are planning on having a hospitality suite - I'm sure I'll be taking a few turns manning that. Look me up.

IndyPartridge......I live in Corydon, IN.  I see your in Brown County,  I have an aunt that lives in Nashville, IN.

Yes, I joined the Spring Valley Bee Club, part of the Indiana BeeKeepers Association.  They meet about 15 minutes from where I live.  Kenny Schneider is the president.  Perhaps you've ran into him.
