Title: Bumble Bee Removal
Post by: montauk170 on May 24, 2011, 01:56:40 AM
Hey guys,

I know some of you remove not just honey bees but other bees/wasps as well.
What do you do in a bumble bee removal? If the owner wants them gone, is killing them the only option?

If they are the ground type, I have removed them with a shovel and put them into a 5 gal pucket, they were under a small playhouse deck.  Relocating may be a problem, if you have to dig them out as you will destroy their hole.   I have seen bumble bee boxes and observation boxes that are used in greenhouses and for education.  You could put the nest into one of those and place in your yard.
