Title: Swarm or established hive in the San Diego Area
Post by: annette on May 27, 2011, 02:15:33 AM
Received this email so hoping someone on the forum can help this women. I know we have a couple of members from that area.

"Do you know of anyone that would rescue a new hive from my back yard for free in San Diego area?  It is about 1 1/2 feet off the ground in raised flower bed.  I think they are honey bees.  I've just noticed it this past week.  And if not free, reasonable.

Thank you,
Sandy

I will be at work the entire day tomorrow, until about 9pm."

I would ask for a pic first, being in a raised flower bed sends up a red flag to me that they could be yellow jackets.
