Title: Presto wax melter anyone???

I was looking for a wax melter, my wife will kill me if I ruin one more pot... and i ran across the presto wax melter that one can make your self from the Presto hot pot.....anyone make or use one of these?

Build a solar one or go to a garage sale / Goodwill / etc. and pick up a cheap crock pot.

I use one.  The problem is they can get very hot and I keep the dial below the numbers printed on.  I did not install valve with spout.  I use it as a water bath instead.  Just put a cheap candle melting pot or other pot into the hot water and it works just fine.  That way you do not scorch the wax and risk a fire.  Also the nice valves are not cheap either.
