I pulled 65# off of my 2 strong hives but that was after I split 1 hive into 2 and then made 3 more hives from those 2. I also was a little late moving those 2 hives to the gall berry fields so that might explain it. Also 1 of those 2 swarmed the second week after i put them out there. That hive only had about 25 pounds of honey. The 3 other hives have been very slow filling out. 1 now has a super on it and I will be checking the other 2 to see if I can add a super this week. I made the mistake of only using 1 frame of brood per each hive with a frame of honey and a frame of pollen.

Terrible here in Upstate NY. Strongest Hives have replenished two deeps and almost a medium. Praying for no more rain, a good fall flow and a mild winter...that's not asking too much, is it?  :ninja:

I have one hive with one full medium super about capped.
The other three hives are still working on filling their own stores.

My only surviving colony from last year has yielded zero honey.

Fifteen first-year hives have yielded zero honey.

*Whatever*

My hives are very light for this time of year. If they don't do something fast, i will have to feed early this year.

We are headed into the triple digits this coming week and I believe the flow is fast coming to an end.

My second year hive w/3 brood boxes has put on about 2  8-frame mediums of honey but only about half of it is capped. I will probably take all of that as there is still plenty stored in the brood boxes.

A small swarm I caught last fall threw off a big swarm in the spring so about all it is doing is building out a 4th brood box with plenty of stores for itself. I have pulled two fully capped frames off it for me

A third swarm I hived about a month ago has drawn out two boxes but I will probably feed this fall to make sure it has enough stores to get through the winter.

Our Oklahoma weather has been real dry here so I feel lucky to get what I am getting, but I think the heat has about brought the flow to a halt. OKC has had 10 days of 100+ degree heat in June and tomorrow will make it 11, with July starting out the same way through the 4th.

I was pleasantly suprised yesterday when I ran a load of supers to 4 yards.  Dont know how they have found time between rain and wind but all of my 2nd year and older hives are making honey.  Some have filled 2 med and needed a 3rd some needed a 2nd and all the rest are working on one.  My yard with 16 first year splits are working hard to fill the brood boxes.   Hope will make at least one super each.  The best is yet to come here in michigan

East of Denver we've had a very dry Spring.  Have gotten some meaningful rains here lately and I've noticed more wildflowers blooming.  For the most part the girls have been ignoring the supers, however, I checked this week and saw new comb being drawn, lots of bees and activity in the supers.  Finally.

I pulled honey about 2 weeks ago, and got about 120 lbs from 3 hives. My thinking was that it would all be gone (after nearly 3 weeks of absolutely no rain) I made another split yesterday and checked the same 3 hives and they have nearly a super full of uncapped already again. Im going to leave it for them to use during July-August and see what if any I get for the Fall flow.

didn't have rain for three months when alot was blooming .had 50 hives that i would have pulled honey from but they were eating it faster than what they were bringing in.hives that were doing good i had to take from them and give it to other hives.we finely getting rain now but alil to late to make a difference. i will pull about 15 boxes off them and the hives i have at my home i will take 14 boxes off them.one of my best hives at home has 1deep and 3 med full of honey,so that will make 29 boxes total.hope the fall flow will be alot better.       ......schawee

My girls are doing great but I plan to leave one super on thru to late fall for the girls to dine on if they like, then setup for winter.

I will have to feed heavy just to get them ready for winter. Poorest spring I have ever had to endure.

I checked my hives on Sunday and the 3 new hives that I have in my neighbors yard and was expecting to add supers to were doing nothing. As a matter of fact the weekest hive was full of beetle and moth larvae. I found a queen but I also found a supersede  opened cell so I suspect she is new. Just split and added a queen a few months ago. Took out the 2 best frames and cleaned them up and put then in a nuc hoping to give her a chance. I checked to 2 other hives that I brought back from the farm (2 weeks ago) and had removed the honey. I put the empty supers back on the hives for cleaning and they are both half full with a very light colored honey. These bees are always working and the other 3 just seem to want to clean the front of the hive. Go figure it. I did notice the Cabage Palm just started blooming this weekend.

I have one hive that I will be getting honey from this year as the others were splits.  The one hive so far has about 200 lbs of honey in the boxes.  Wish I didn't lose my other 3 hives this past winter.  :(
