Greetings and salutations from the Great White North. I am looking forward to learning a lot from this forum and to sharing best practices. I am a casual hobbyist with 25 years of experience. Have had up to 12 hives; only 3 this year. One is just going gangbusters while the other 2 are a wee bit better than mediocre.
Greetings and Happy Canada Day to all our good friends in Canada!
Welcome to the forum
Hope you had a great Canada Day from Georgie in Australia
Here in south-western Quebec, along the Ottawa River, we have been having a rather hot, humid summer. The temperature today reached 34 degrees Celsius with a humidex reading of 41, if you believe in that sort of thing. Typically, the day concluded with a violent thunder storm. My bees seem to thrive in these conditions. There is lots of clover blooming as well as wildflowers of every description. The honey is coming in very rapidly. It is very light in colour, has a bouquet of clover and tastes slightly waxy with subtle hints of cinnamon.
