Title: queens and queen cells
Post by: leechmann on July 09, 2011, 06:28:07 PM
Some queen questions. How many days to make a new queen? How many days from the time the queen cell is capped to the time it hatches? At what point during this process does the mother queen leave? And one more question.  At what point does the mother queen quit laying, so she is able to take flight with the swarm? Oh, I'm on a roll. LOL, If it is a supercedure situation, is it the virgin queen that kills the mother queen, or do the worker bees do the dirty work?

Thanks, Leechmann
