Title: Sugar Price
Post by: Haddon on July 22, 2011, 03:20:47 PM

I don't know if this need to be in this section or not but I wanted to report my local Grocery has sugar at 3 bags 4lbs each for 5 bucks. Best sell we ever seem to get now is 2 for 3 and that is normally thanksgiving week and may be Christmas week too. Now last year they over bought so they keep running the same sell over and over again hope they over buy this time too.

Whats the best price yall get on sugar?

And do any of you find the need to tell the store clerk why you are buying 80 pounds of sugar and might be back tomorrow if the wife lets you, or is this just a big guy need sorta like I am not eating 80lbs a day lady.

I'm going to look into prices, so thanks for the reminder to do so.  Strange year here......very little honey production and we have three new hives that I'm concerned about wqintrer stores.

I just tell the clerk that my wife makes really big cakes.

I get mine at Dadant for 36 cents a pound. Last year it was 26 cents a pound. Larry

I pick it up at their store in High Springs, Fl. But you're right, it does cost me some gasoline though. I also pick up other stuff while I'm there. Larry
