Title: Hello from Cleveland North Carolina
Post by: B E-Z on July 24, 2011, 09:03:06 PM
Hello everyone.  I started Beekeeping in May of 2011, so I am very new although I learned a tremendous amount already.  I currently have 12 hives and I have two great mentors to help teach me all the different things I need to do and when to do them.  They have proven invaluable.  Currently reading The Hive and the Honey Bee and I am keeping a Bee journal. Started with 2 hives and from there I was hooked and then another 10 became available to me so I am in it now. :jawdrop:

Welcome B E-Z. 12 hives your first year, now that's impressive. It's great that you have a couple of mentors.

You are very lucky to have help with your bees. When I first started beekeeping I was on my own for the first 2 years until I found this forum. Still I wished I had a mentor to help me inspect the hives back then. But it all worked out anyway.

Welcome to the forum.   :cheer:

12 hives, I hope you can use one of your mentor's extractors next year. With 12 hives your first year, you may be exporting by 2013.  :lau: :lau:

12 hives? Impressive. I started this year as well and only have two. If I got any more I fear my wife would make me go live in the back yard with the hives :)
