Anyone know where I can find good descriptive information about this technique of swarm prevention - maybe with illustrations?

My version of checkerboarding is to alternate all-honey frames with empty drawn comb immediately above the brood nest.  You do it in March (or maybe April in New York) to prevent swarming.  The bushfarms.com link above is a good place to start.
