I have a few questions someone could probable help me with.
1 i put feeders on about 2 weeks ago we are in a drought and my bees where not drawing comb as fast as i would of liked any way i checked them today and there drawing comb nicely and there filling it with honey brood and pollen. In my bottom brood box's i have around 5 frames of brood and 5 frames honey and pollen .
The brood is all on the right and the honey on the left is this all right? My top brood box has like a couple of frames of brood forming and comb on the frames and has honey in the cells but not caped yet. Any way we have been getting rain again and the goldenrod is in bloom so i took off the feeders do you think i should put on honey supers plus how much brood should i have going into winter?
THANKS.
I am feeding one of my hives as it has no stores and stopped drawing comb. ANd I think I may have waited too long as the population has dropped really low. But then that may be because they are carnis.
But for real good feeding info, check out Michael Bush's site:

The rest of his site is a wealth of info as well.
I was going to ask the same. In my situation I have a honey super on top of my brood box that is filled with 10 frames of honey. Am I good for the winter with 1 box of honey?

What size is your super? I can get by with a full shallow but that far north you might need a deeps worth.
