See Robo's video of how to mark a queen. (Being a new member, I am not allowed to include URL's... so "go fish".)
Where do you buy the paint pens, and what is the brand name? Thanks

Testors paint Pens from hobby shop, medium tip.
Elmer's Painters from Wal-Mart work great. You will find them in the Craft section.
Also if you want to spend the extra money, all the bee suppliers carry them.
I find the POSCA pens work best.

Thanks to everyone for the many replies.
Robo, which of those seven pen size choices do you use? Thanks
There is a color scheme in use for marking honey bee queens...
White for years that end in 1 or 6.
Yellow is used when a year ends in 2 or 7.
Red if a year ends with a 3 or 8.
Green when 4 or 9 is the last digit.
Blue if the year ends in a 5 or a 0.
There is a phrase that helps you memorise this...
What You Rear Green Bees?
Then all you have to remember is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and you will never need to consult the book again!
BEE HAPPY Jim 134 :)

I use the medium tip. Though thinking maybe I should give the glitter ones a try :-P
