Title: Queen shipping boxes
Post by: BjornBee on August 24, 2011, 01:42:48 PM
Does anyone have a contact or source for ventilated queen shipping boxes?

I have been shipping queens in USPS flat rate mailers, but the local post office got a letter down from higher authorities saying not to accept bees in flat rate mailers any longer.

I know when I get a large order of queens, especially from the west coast, they are in boxes already pre-stamped with a few comments like "Live Bees!", etc. But the box has no manufacturer info or numbers.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you.

Not sure if this would help.  http://www.tsksupply.com/products/10x10x6-Cricket-Box-25-Count-Bundle.html (http://www.tsksupply.com/products/10x10x6-Cricket-Box-25-Count-Bundle.html)  The boxes are made to ship crickets, but may work for queens.

Thank you Jim.

I did locate two bee suppliers that sell the queen boxes. (About twice the price of the cricket boxes).

It would be nice to cut out the middle man and order direct from the manufacturer.
