Title: Moldy Beeswax!! Help!!
Post by: annette on September 05, 2011, 11:40:18 PM
Made a mistake and forgot to freeze the huge container of beeswax. Now it is a moldy mess.

Can I still melt this wax and end up with decent beeswax??

Thanks for the reply

Annette

the mold should strain out when melted.

No problem. All wax will get what is called a "bloom". A light mold. If it hasn't been well cleaned, it can get a heavy mold from the other substances. It will separate from the mold when remelted.
