Title: Hello from Ashburton, South Island New Zealand
Post by: Maja on September 07, 2011, 11:36:34 PM
Hi All,
I am a newbie to beekeeping.  My family-three energetic boys, Pom-Hubbie and my parents live on small block outside Ashburton . There are  few sheep, chickens , vegie-garden and lots of space (great!)
I am originally from Poland and after a spell in Western Europe and US ,decided that NZ is a best country to settle, so here we are, since 1996.
I have recently enrolled in Agribusiness course in Apiary. Really enjoying it and already have my hive built and ready to go.

My day job is a mix-practice vet in rural practice ,so life is busy but very rewarding.

Looking forward to join up with other bee-enthusiast.

That's a beautiful part of the world you live in. I've been to the South Island twice now and I don't doubt we'll be back for another go.
Paul.
