Title: hello from ashtabula ohio

hello my name is earle and i live in ashtabula ohio. i am going to start beekeeping this spring and have been checking out a lot of web sites to try to get some info on the do's and don'ts of starting a bee hive. i am intersted in finding anyone from this area that can help me in my new hobby. thank you

Welcome to the forum. You might look for beekeeping clubs in your area that offer beginner classes. If you change your profile to your local town and state, it will help others give you advice more fitting to your area.   -Mike

How much lake effect snow do you get in Ashtabula? 

That should keep your bees well insulated in the winter  :)
