Glad I'm not there!
Scott
Ditto.
Hope you have some insulation on the top of the hives, I can just about hear the water dripping onto the cluster. I use a piece of 3/4 foam insulation inserted into the top cover. And a piece of 2 inch laying on the top cover.
Wow," snow allready good luck Jerry
Since I have to tolerate winter, I want snow!

Will bee getting snow on Friday Oct.28 And may bee on Saturday Oct.29 all so.
BEE HAPPY Jim 134 :)
Well, it was 72 degrees two days ago and I haven't even gotten the feeders off. It will be mid fifties tomorrow and then bright sunshine, no clouds and in the sixties Friday....and the mountains will be stunningly beautiful.
If it's going to be cold, give me and the bees something to play in!
Bye bye wax moths and SHB too.
wish you were here, not :-D. today it was in the mid 80's. schawee
I can't wait 8-)

QuoteWish you were here...
Not a good wish :(
IMHO :-D
I just can't think about walking out first thing in the AM and having to
shovel my way toward anything.
Nice looking but for me, looking is where it stops
38 years way south of snow
I give all you credit,I know its truly a different life style
one I don't miss or could return too
Enjoy the White stuff my white is the sand on Clearwater beach
Tommyt
oops
I am so glad my winters rarely get any snow, just wet and dreary. Been here 10 years and think the wet dreary is better than snow, ice and COLD!! The only part of Colorado I miss is the Elk hunting in the LaPlatas.
Such extremes are probably hard on the girls. But it takes a lovely picture!

C'm'on Jim, What we are supposed to get does not even count. If we get it... :-P
Im sure that storm will hit Ohio but it will be rain by then
The Bix,
Ya'know...It's America. You are allowed to live somewhere that doesn't have SNOW in October!
beekeeperookie,
NEWARK! Every year we went to the Ohio State Fair and saw people walking around with "Where the H*ll is Newark Ohio" T-shirts. Have you been to the Dawes Arboretum? I recommend it.
Been to Dawes numerous times. Fantastic place.
Got a tour of his house when I was down there about 2 weeks ago. Ever wonder where all the money comes from to support such a massive arboretum? Turns out Dawes was an oil man!
How would you like planting all those arbs on the south end of the arboretum :-D
We are into the 70's here for a few weeks now and it continues. Love it!! The snow sure looks pretty, but I don't like living with it. As a former New Yorker, I am glad I am away from that stuff.

22 F this am. Had snow, sleet, rain and hail yesterday. C'mon winter ;)
thomas
It is beautiful here today...high of 65 degrees and no clouds. The front range of the Rockies are lookin' fine. As far as the bees, the girls are out and about gathering pollen and nectar with all due haste. Right now, all of the hives are HEAVY. I did a lot of feeding the last month and half so I think they're ready for winter.
