Title: build up on boxes ..what should i do? see pic

bought some boxes with 9 frame spacers in them. i blow torched them to kill any thing living but there is a build-up on the frame spacers.. what should i do? is it propolis?

Looks like torched propolis :-D Scrape it or just leave it there. If you remove it the bees will put it back for you anyway.

they put it on in fall as a way to seal up the hive and stick things together.  leave it.  you can scrape it in the spring if it's in your way.
