Title: Winter Predictions
Post by: BlueBee on November 06, 2011, 08:09:51 PM
My wooly bears and acorns are predicting about an average winter around here.

What is your best data telling you?

Here's the NOAA 3 month temperature forecast :     http://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/predictions/long_range/lead01/off01_temp.gifhttp://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/predictions/long_range/lead01/off01_temp.gif

The south central US should be warmer than normal and the rest of the country should average out to normal temps.

they predict another wet and long winter for us.  that means more snow again, but probably not the ice storms.  my wooly bears looked pretty  normal, but to tell the truth, i mostly scoop them up and toss them so we don't step on them.  i don't spend a lot of time examining them....
