Title: How are the honey flows in Eastern KY?
Post by: hankdog1 on November 17, 2011, 05:49:29 PM
Been pondering putting a few hives out at a place near Cave Run Lake.  Wondering how the honey flows were out there?  Plus gives me an excuse to make more trips to Dadant out in Fankfort.

The Cave Run area will likely yield a very nice "forest" honey.  The flavor could be very nice.  For best results the bees need to be strong in the early spring when the trees peak.
