Title: Water getting in freeman beetle trap
Post by: ShaneJ on December 11, 2011, 09:47:54 PM
Hi everyone, I have a couple of Freeman beetle traps(SBB + oil tray) and with the rain we've been having lately they keep filling with water. Has overcome this problem at all?

I assume the water is getting in through the front entrance so I was thinking about putting some kind of entrance cover over the front but I'm not sure if this will upset the bees at all?

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

The bees will get use to a rain shield on the front of the hive.

Thanks. Might have to try and knock something up.
