I live in Larose, LA and have been interested in beekeeping for quite some time.  I plan to start a couple of hives in a few months.  I am very excited, but also very nervous at the same time.

Welcome. No need to be nervous.  Spend time on here reading and you will find that your nervousness will dissolve away.
