Title: usda honey bee survey
Post by: kdm on January 28, 2012, 12:01:16 PM
My bees were sampled 9/26/11. They took 1/2 cups of bees from 8 hives. They also took samples from 8 frames from same hives. The frame contained small uncapped brood and was banged, sideways, over a pan, to disloge some of the contents. I think they took samples from 25 beekeepers in the state.  I got results back in Jan. they show dwv, bqcv nosema ceranae and varroa. verroa counts are 2.1 per 100 bees. ceranae is 0.2 per million. they don't show iapv, abpv, cbpv and sbpv in this sample, but, i think they send one more readout.
