Title: Early in North Carolina
Post by: wwwilkison on February 10, 2012, 09:21:16 AM
Red Maples are about 1 to 2 weeks early.  Expect hard freeze this Sunday.  Populations are ramping up, and already seeing drones.  Ready to do hive body reverses, but too cold this weekend.  Hope we're not in for an early bloom and late freeze.   Interested in how others are approaching early season - pollen patties?  hive body reversal?  what's up?

Hi,

New bee here also, we are having a lot of things blooming in south miss.  Have seen fruit trees, crimson clover, and other stuff.  It is suppost to be in 20's for next 2 nights hi's in 40's.  I just checked bees first of this week, still have plenty of honey.  Been waiting for spring to replace some boxes.
