Wanted to show some of the queen cells we raise here. These get a lil larger than the normal queen cell, I assume, since we live near the Atomic City (Oak Ridge). I guess the radiation gets to them.

It was worth a laugh. If you don't know, these are morel mushrooms. They grow around April here in East TN and they are delicious if you have never tried them.
I found this picture of some my 6 yr old son found last year. He loves to hunt/eat them. I just wanted to share them.
James :-D
yummy. I would love to eat those!!
I love them......wish they grew here!
That sardine you are holding is a good size too, but how do you squish them into the cans?

Irwin, we cut them in half length wise. Then dredge them in a mix of cornmeal and flour. That mix is a ratio of about 2:1 cornmeal to flour respectively. Then just pan fry them.
They'll make your tongue slap ur brains out.
That's just about the same way I cook them.
We have them here about the same size... just not in February...LOL There are people who hunt them, but they never seem to find them. Could that be that I know their exact location and can get there quicker??? Perhaps, but I'll never tell......
