I am curious how many of us actualy eat honey or other bee products. I eat a lot of honey. Does it make us healthier?

I personally take one teaspoon of honey in hot tea,
but don't drink alot of tea.
(I stay away from sugars and carbs cause I'm diabetic)

The rest of my family loves and eats local honey cause my
wife and I believe it helps allergies due to "hay fever".

I was taking a brand name bee pollen capsule for a while,
but it's very expensive, hopefully starting next year I can
learn to harvest it from my own bees.

I used to eat a lot of honey.  In my tea, my oatmeal, my muffins, cooked with it, ate it by the tablespoon.  Not anymore.  I was confirmed as being diabetic last Friday.  So now I gotta sell the stuff, until I get this thing under control.  Kind of a blow, really.

I eat quite a bit of of honey, It's really good mixed with peanut butter and make sandwiches, instead of jelly. I've use it to sweeten coffee also  :D
So I can honestly say I eat my honey daily   LOL

We use alot of it in baking and in hot tea when sick. My sister likes the soaps and I am going to make creams and lip gloss for her and her friends. I am trying to use all of the products of the bees to a full extent, you name it and I am going to try it :D

Honey is okay, just always been too sweet for my taste. I used to use some to sweeten my hot tea, but recently I developed type 2 diabetes and only taste a finger-tip dip into spills once or twice when I am harvesting. I do like fresh pollen.

My favorite snack is a slice of comb honey on a wheat tortilla with peanut butter.  Sort of a PB & H burrito.   :D   Makes for a great pick-me-up when I don't have a lot of time.

I use honey, not as much as other beekeepers.  I like being a beekeeper so that I can give and sell the honey.

I like to use honey by substituting honey in baked good instead of using sugar.

We use honey when canning fruits and vegetables and there are many recipes in the book   "STOCKING UP III''     by Carol Hupping and the staff at Rodale food center. Also I have been known to enjoy a little mead from time to time(hic). It almost seems universal that everyone loves honey in thier tea! We just love creamed honey too. Try honey on waffles or pancakes and you will be pleasantly surprised. Put honey on a banana and roll in crushed peanuts, then freeze and eat. Also for a real treat you can brown a flour tortilla on a griddle-put two scoops of vanilla ice cream on it and drizzle honey all over(about two tablespoons)  when you are not counting calories.
