Title: Trap Out
Post by: lesterp on March 18, 2012, 09:40:29 PM
I have an old bee log that I trapped bees out of last year, and yesterday a new swarm moved into the log.  Should I trap them out now, or wait and let them get established and the queen start laying? Thanks

I would do it immediately. The less they've drawn out the less reluctant they'll be to move out & there's likely a good chance you just might get the queen on this one as well if you do it NOW.

Research "forced trap out".

Thanks JP.  The weather man says it's suppose to rain the next 2 or 3 days here, but as soon as the weather breaks, I'll start.  Thanks again.

To quote JP,   "do it NOW."

2 or 3 days will just add to the difficulty.

Thanks Iddee.  That's what I thought, but just wanted to double check with the "pros".
