Thanks Schawee. Not too often you get pristine white comb like this that will transfer.

Nice job JP, cool video of the queen catching.

Say it looks like you put on makeup for the video, part of your new clean cut hollywood image?

Pure white (soft) wax there.   I wonder just how long that beetle has been in there.   Nice video JP.

Beautiful job JP. That sure was some nice looking wax. All brand new and clean. If only it stayed that nice and white.

Great video as always.

Thanks for sharing it with us!

Allen, there's always the likelihood that that beetle swarmed with the bees. I've shaken quite a few swarms that had SHBs with them. I'm sure Hardwood has to run across that on a frequent basis with all the SHBs he has down there in Florida.

JP...I wonder how many hives we've taken where a pest control company or home owner didn't seal up the entrance after they killed the hive? It's amazing how the bees can smell the pheromone and scent of the previous hive for years after it is gone. I feel sure I've taken hives where the previous hive had been gone for at least five years. I bet the scent last for years especially if they have propolised the entire cavity.
