Just did my first hive inspection of the season. Urban beekeeping in Portland, OR.
Started with one hive last season, split it, and ran with two last year. Ended up with about 6 gallons of honey at harvest time.
Took the hives apart today and the girls were in full effect. Eggs, capped brood, pollen, and plenty of honey stores. They were not happy at my intrusion, but I couldn't have been happier with the results. All was well as we begin year two.
Couldn't have made it this far without the infinite knowledge and help of the folks here. I post occasionally, lurk often, and search constantly. Thanks for everything!
glad everything is working out for you. .......schawee
Good to hear, may you and your bees do well again this year.
