Post by: duck on March 26, 2012, 11:14:48 PM
been doing swarm captures, and now removals for about two weeks.  I walked up to an hurricane Ike destroyed apartment complex today, that has had bees since anyone can remember.. 2 story, so there are 2x10 joists between 1st and second level.  bees have an upper entrance about four foot onto the porch on top level, lower entrance that is in the window. odd thing is they are building comb outside the window.. does this mean they have run out of room inside? i have pictures, but since this is my first post, im not allowed to link.. thanks for looking

send your pics to a mod or admin and they can post them for you.

yep they can and will build outside of the hive cavity, especially as far south as you are.
