Ok a show of hands. How many of you middle tn people have started supering? I waited till April 1st, but bet I probaly could have started sooner. I've never seen the dogwood bloom in march.
Up here the black locust is already blooming. I am going to put some supers on tomorrow.
Not in tennesee in southern ohio but i supered on the 28th of march just to stay ahead of them
My local orchard is done with the peach bloom amd well done with the apple bloom. Unfortunetly my nuc I was waiting on got delayed in miss. and thats where they were headed for. :( At least has crimson clover between the rows
I'm in Mt Juliet TN. and I started supering first week of March with drawn comb in the supers and the bees started working on them pretty quick. Some of the hives are working on a second super and are drawing new comb. I use medium supers. There have been blooming plants for over a month around here. Locust blooming big, white clover blooming big, and I saw blackberries blooming saturday. So I just thought I would try to stay ahead of um.
There is a chance of frost here tomorrow night. First cool spell in a while.

Dogwoods bloom in March in 07. That is the year we had the freeze [18 deg] first week of April that killed every thing.
