Title: Boardman Feeder

im wondering if the boardman feeder enterance should be inside the doorway to the hive because as i am just starting out i have an enterance reducer on the hive

You want it where the bees inside the hive can get to it and they do not have to go outside the hive.   If it is open to the outside, you will be feeding every bee in town and start a robbing episode.   Another way to use that feeder is to place it on top of the frames with an empty box over it.   That way it is inside the hive totally.

Remove the reducer and insert the feeder under the hive body. It has two levels for the different size openings. The hive body should set on the shelf of the feeder. Placing it on the top of the frames is NOT a good idea during comb drawing time, such as now. They will hang comb from the inner lid.
