I have HSC in white, black and green. I have yet to use the green so I can't comment on them however, I have noticed that the black frames have always seemed to be more readily excepted than the white. also even after a year of use the queens on white frames seem to be struggling while the queens on black frames are thriving and laying well. I also had some of each from deadout hives this winter and even the wax moths were in the black frames quite a bit but none in the white frames. Is there something to this or am I seeing things? If there is something to this how can I make the white frames work? Thank's, Brad
Try rolling on a new coat of wax.
I don't think the bees care about the color of the plastic. We do. And we like black to see eggs. Switch out black and white in the same hive. Black, white, black, white and see how the bees work it to find out.
Don't all colors look black in the dark?
