Title: caged queen care?
Post by: RangerBrad on May 07, 2012, 10:20:35 PM
A friend of mine has been in the hospital and received 5 queens last wendsday. He gave them to me today to try to get rid of and I'm trying but it may be another day or two. What can I do to keep them healthy in the interim? Thank's, Brad

Bank them or go ahead and make 5 splits.

Keep them in a cool place(not cold/not where the sun may shine on them through a window and over heat them).  Give them a drop or so of water every day.    I will usually put them screen side down or wrap a strip of paper around them so they are out of bright light.  They should be fine for a few more days.

I'd put them somewhere dark, quiet and room temperature and give them a drop of water every day.
