Pictures of honeybees are fascinating to me. Here is one I just took by flash at 9:00 p.m. tonight of one hive requeened from local feral survivors to Cordovan Italian, the population is about 80% turned over to new queen's workers.

These gals are using 3 medium supers for brood, honey, and pollen with a queen excluder then a medium super filling up with the late summer flows --- it seems they may soon need at least one more.
