Post by: slacker361 on May 23, 2012, 10:48:19 AM
well I am pretty sure I ordered on queen but two showed up.... They must of been having a buy one get one , or i accidentally ordered two.... either way I wasn't ready for two queens. I was ready for one....so I had a garden hive , think that is what it is called here it is http://www.brushymountainbeefarm.com/5-Frame-6-5_8-Complete-Nuc/productinfo/682/ (http://www.brushymountainbeefarm.com/5-Frame-6-5_8-Complete-Nuc/productinfo/682/)

so I left the queens in there little boxes they came in an rubber banned them to the frame. on in the top box one in the bottom till tomorrow when I will have another box ready for them... do you think they will be ok for 24 hours?

Do they have attendants?  Attendants are best for longer hive separation periods but either way keep them warm, in the calm and dark, and I give them a little finger smear of honey on the outside of the cage for moisture and food

You'll be fine and it proves the adage you can never have too much assembled woodenware.  Unless you're my wife, and then I've got too much!  ;)
