Title: Thinking about requeening with Russians
Post by: hoxbar on May 24, 2012, 10:14:38 AM
I have 5 hives that are queen less and a local queen supplier only has Russian queens.  I do not know anything about Russians.  Has anyone had any luck with Russians?  How do they do in heat/drought?  What's the difference between them a Italians?  Any luck in the south with Russians?

I would go with italians for your southern climate.  Lots of them are available now.  It is after the spring rush.   try Johnny Thompson  601-562-0701  in MS
