should i get a shallow medium or deep super. i have an eight frame hive. also what size frames?

I run shallows for honey supers.

I am old school. Deeps for brood and shallows for honey. There are benefits to running the same size for brood and honey.

If you have langstroth broods, medium supers are good.
But you need extra Langstroth frames too tp renew the brood frames, to make nucs, to take swarms and to compesate ruined combs.

So you need langstroth super wher they draw foundations for later usage.
You need to lift black combs over the exluder to take off  old combs.

And for many other reasons...
